Setting type on your business card
Once I have the graphic elements in place on my business card, the next thing that we're ready to start doing is adding in the text. But I have to make sure that I'm visually weighting the design the same on both sides. So in order to do that, what I'm going to do is drag out an extra guide. And I'm going to do that just by dragging out a guide and putting it somewhere close to the middle of the page, and that way I can see both sides equally on each side of the business card, and I know exactly what I'm doing in terms of weighting this design. Because remember, we want to create a sense of balance, and so next what I'm going to do is grab the text tool, and I'm going to start right here in the center. And I'm just going to draw out a text box that goes from the center all the way over. And that's just going to give me all of this space. And so you can see here that I've got the same amount of space from here to here, same amount of space from here to here. It is going to be visually…
