Selecting inside groups and compound objects

- In this movie, I'll show you how to select things inside so-called "compound objects", which are objects that contain multiple path outlines. The simplest example of which are groups. Alright, so let's say you want to select a path inside of a group or other compound object. And you generally start off with the White Arrow tool. And on the PC, you Alt-click with the White Arrow. On the Mac, you Option-click. And notice that these tricks work across all three applications. Let me show you what that looks like. You may recall that I grouped the droplets in the previous movie. Notice that if I click on the outline of one of these droplets, I'm going to select, in this case, a segment, independently of the rest of the path. If I want to click the whole thing, I can either just click inside the path, either inside Illustrator or InDesign. But if you want to really be sure you're going to select that entire path outline, then press the alt key, or the opt key on the Mac. And notice when…
