Selecting and deselecting

- In this movie, I'm going to show you how to select and deselect things using both the Black and White Arrow tools, across all of the design applications, including Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop. Now I'll be spending most of my time in Illustrator because it's the most representative of the three applications, and I'll show you not only how to select path outlines, but also independent elements such as anchor points and segments, as well as big things like Groups. So, for starters here, notice that my Black Arrow tool is active. I'm going to go ahead and click on one of these droplets right here and you can see that it now appears selected, independently of the rest of the illustration. I'm also going to zoom in on this object, and this time I'm just doing so by pressing control plus or command plus on a Mac. Now, notice when an object is selected, that you can see its anchor points represented as squares, and you also see these little lines tracing the segments. Now…
