Resolving widows and orphans

- In this movie, I'll show you how to address widows and orphans in your body copy. An orphan, by the way, is a word that's trapped by itself on the last line of a paragraph. And a widow is something we can see on the next page, it's a line of type that's either trapped at the top or the bottom of a column, like this guy right here, I don't know enough. And they require two different solutions. And so, to get rid of an orphan, go ahead and double click in your text in order to automatically switch to the type tool. And then double click and drag, that is to say you click and then drag on your second click, in order to select of surprise, those two words. And now we want to force them to live together, by bringing up the character panel, clicking on the fly out menu icon in the upper right corner, and then choosing no break. And that's all there is to it. Now you can press the escape key in order to see those two words, now occupy the same line of type. Alright, now go ahead and…
