Repurposing a mask as a path outline

- [Instructor] In this movie, we're going to create this shadow up here at the top of the image, and we're going to do so by repurposing our existing vector mask, the one that's assigned to the jumper layer. And to make that work, we need to convert the vector mask back to a path outline. And so I'll start by switching over to my composition and progress here, and I'll click on the jumper layer to make it active, and that will give me access to the vector mask inside the paths panel. And so I'll go ahead and switch to the paths panel, either by clicking on this tab or choosing the paths command from the window menu. And notice here, we have a temporary path outline in the form of this item called jumper vector mask. Go ahead and grab it, and then drag it and drop it onto the little page icon down here at the bottom of the paths panel in order to make a copy of that vector mask, which is now an independent path outline.
