Releasing to layers
- We've already seen that Aftereffects supports layers that were defined in the Illustrator document. But I haven't showed you how to create those layers when you design your artwork inside Illustrator. So in this movie I'll call your attention to a command that will help you to split objects in groups to layers. This way you can access them very easily in the animation stage. So just to illustrate what I mean I'm going to use the same ducoument, the smartphones.ai, I've modified the lines of the those satellites in the previous movie. So I'm just going to use this version. Note that I switched off the visibility for the more icons layer and I'm going to save this document and now I'm going to switch to Afteffects and I'm going to double click in order to import it. As before I'm going to choose to import it as a composition and I'm going to use the layer size and the footage dimensions. I'm going to say OK, double click over here, and obviously we have access to satellites number one…
