- [Instructor] Welcome to drawing vector graphics laboratory. In the course of creating designs on a daily basis through my design firm, I ran into specific creative projects that challenge me on one level or another. So in this movie, I want to focus on a few methods I used to create an interlocking motif. We were asked to brand a early learning center for a school system on the East Coast, and we had to come up with some design explorations to present to them. And this is one of the ideas that I came up with. I showed it to Savannah and I said, "What if we took these two little "simplified bear characters. "They're huggin each other, but it's making a heart. She said, "Yeah." She liked that idea. So this was my initial thumbnail sketch. I drew out my refined sketch and this is what we're going to build on. So we'll set this for 20%, lock the layer, and the very first parts of the build are the easiest. We just simply go to the ellipse tool over here, and create shapes for the ears…
