- In this movie I'll show you a real world use for all those repositioning tricks that I showed you in the previous movie. What we're going to do is trace around this big Moai's head right here, this Easter Island statue. We're going to do so of course using the pen tool. I'll go ahead and press the p key in order to switch to the pen tool. By now I think you can recognize that we have the create cursor. What I'm going to do is let's say I just decided to click here so I'll start things off at the right place. I'll just go ahead and click around like so and it's obvious already then I'm going to be covering up my template in the background. Just for a moment here I'm going to press and hold the control key or the command key on a Mac. Here in Illustrator that gets me the black arrow tool which actually what I want. I'll just go ahead and click on this path to select the whole thing. In that way I can now see my fill and stroke options up here in the control panel. I'm going to change…
