Protecting black, white, and gray

- [Instructor] By default recolor art will protect the black and white colors in your art, but it's also possible to protect any of the selected colors. Let's take a look at how those preferences work. I'm going to select all of the art and then click on this icon to enter the recolor artwork panel, and I'll scroll down to the bottom of the color rows here, and that's where we'll find the grays, the blacks, and the whites. They're always listed here at the bottom. We'll see that the black color and the white color are not getting remapped to a new color. So they're being protected, and that's controlled under the color reduction options, which we get to with this icon. We'll see the check marks here for preserve white and blacks. We could turn the grays on here as well. I'm actually going to cancel out of this though because you don't have to go into that panel to change those settings.
