Firstly, we want to make sure that all of our type is converted to outlines so that there's no possibility of missing fonts or anyone editing the type. Of course, you should retain an original version with the editable type. But for the public versions, you should think about the type as a picture. Something that cannot be changed. Type menu, create outlines. Secondly we will want to expand all live effects. Look what happens here when I scale this logo that uses a live effect. You can see how the relationship of the type to the symbol is disrupted. So I am now going to come and select that, come to the Object menu and chose Expand Appearance.
