Pattern strokes
- [Instructor] In addition to making patterns for fills, you can also make patterns that can be applied as a brush stroke and that's what we're going to do here. We're going to create a pattern based on this small piece of artwork and then apply it to this waiting stroke. I'm also going to create and additional element that we can have a look and that's going to be a rectangle. I'm going to draw that over there, perfect, and we can play with that momentarily. So to get this started, what we need to do first of all is select the artwork we'd like to use as a pattern brush, then open up the Brushes panel and drag that artwork in, like so. You then get this New Brush dialog which asks you what sort of brush you want to make and we're going to choose Pattern Brush and when you hit OK, you'll be taken through to the Pattern Brush Options. Now I'm just going to call this Coffe bars just there and you can see the brush working…
