- Now we're going to customize our brush settings to use the pressure sensitivity of our pen and tablet. Going over to our Brush panel we have calligraphic brushes under Artistic Brushes. So what I'm going to do is I'm going to double click and open up a five point round brush. Now depending on your setup Illustrator may already know that you have a Wacom tablet set up, and it's already switched my size to pressure sensitivity. Since this is a five point brush my variation will only allow me to go up to the size of the brush, which is five point. If you come in here and you notice that it's set to Fixed, simply go to the drop down menu and choose Pressure and then adjust your Variation from zero to five giving you the full range of width. Hit Okay. And now when we go back to my Brush tool and I go in and paint you'll notice that I have pressure sensitivity. So I can go from thin to thick using this tool.
