- [Instructor] In this movie I'm showcasing the artwork of California based conceptual artist and game artist, Michael Austin. This guy is unbelievably talented. Make sure to go to his website, you're going to be blown away. But Michael uses AI as a sketchbook, and I want to walk you through how he draws to flesh out a concept, in this case, for a character design exploration. It's really, really awesome. So if we look at this, you can see this is his under sketch, and it's very faint. If we zoom in on this, I just want to show you, really closely, this shows the head of this character he's working out. And he's working out proportions and scale, but it's very, very faint. These lines, if I select one of them, you can they're only 2% opacity. So very subtle. Almost hard to see on screen at 100%. If we go to keyline, you can see there's a lot of motion, a lot of movement here. He's working out the gesture, the motion, the movement of this character, and figuring out the pose. So this…
