Managing color
- Another thing that I like to organize at the beginning of any Icon project is the use of color. Now this can be done through the use of assigning color profiles to your document and also building some preset swatches, so that applying color throughout your Icons is easier and more consistent. Now, I just happen to know the color swatches that I'm going to be using for my project. Now, that's because I'm getting them from a website that already exists, but in many cases, you might be coming up with your own color scheme and a website that I really recommend for that is color.adobe.com. This used to be called Kuler, and the wonderful thing about this is it allows you to just sort of explore and play around. You can grab colors and move them around, and based upon the color settings that you set, you'll get different color sets that show up.
