- Illustrator CC allows you to round the corners of a rectangle by dragging a tiny circle that's known as the Round Corner Widget. Yes, the Round Corner Widget, that's its name. So, you can make a rounded rectangle, big whoop. But here's the thing, there's a lot you can do with a rounded rectangle, this for example, not to mention this, and then put them together to make this. Naturally, I'll show you how it all works at length in fact, but that's not the half of it, this round corner widget, it's not just a rectangle thing, it's applicable to any path outline that contains corner points regardless of how you draw it, so let's say you lay down a bunch of corner points with the pen tool.
