Making SVG elements

SVG or scalable vector graphics is a unique image file format. The file format can scale from small to large sizes without losing any quality, because SVGs are a vector file format, making it ideal for problems facing multi-device web design. The reason it does is because the image is not based on pixels to define the like PNGs or JPGs but rather they are based on mathematical equations and markup language. While the SVG standard has been around since 1999, only recently has SVGs gained widespread browser adoption. In fact, all modern browsers support SVG natively, now that Microsoft has added support with IE 9. To first create an SVG image let's consider the donut. It's an image we created in Illustrator, and we go to selected File, Save As. From there we go to the Format drop down and select SVG. Then we save the image with the file name that you want and hit Save, and then this brings up the SVG options dialogue. We click OK on the SVG options prompt. Now we take that image that we…
