- [Narrator] Drawing doesn't have to be complicated to be effective, and learning how to handle simple line work can define shape and create volume in a drawing without any need of gradation. So in this movie I'm going to demonstrate how this can be done. So this is our reference. It's just a bunch of roots of a tree kind of interlocking with one another. And this is going to serve as our theme to draw from. And so what we're going to do is I'm just going to demonstrate some drawing, and right now we're going to use. This nib, which is the inking five nib. If we go to our brushes you can see higlighted there. But this is the nib we're going to use here and we're going to go ahead and create with the paintbrush tool right here. And so with that nib selected, and with the paintbrush tool selected, and we're on the correct layer, we can start drawing. The nice thing about this is we're going to just go ahead and just start creating our line work here, some nice thick and thins. Like…
