Let's face it.…No matter how well illustrated your map is, it's…no good to anyone if the landmarks are not labelled.…It's also important that your labels stand…out among the landmarks, maintaining a consistent…styling for your labels will also help in making your map easier to read.…First, I'm going to demonstrate how to design a…landmark label, and base a paragraph style on that design.…Then I will target all of the landmark labels, and apply…the same styling for a clean and consistent look.…So in this particular area of the map I have a couple of little…green waves, and then we can also see that there is a university here.…
So these features would be nice to label.…Now to do that I'm just going to use some text.…I'll grab my type tool and I'll set a piece of text here for Queens University.…I'm going to go ahead and format that text the way I want my label to appear, and reposition.…And that's not too bad.…So let me go ahead and save this as a paragraph…style, that way I can apply the same styling to other labels.…
