- In this movie, I'll introduce you to the Scissors Tool, which allows you to cut one line exactly along another, which will help us to create this second smoke stack that is precisely 10 points away from this slanting roof. I'll go ahead and switch over to my document in progress, and then, I'll press the v key, in order to switch to the black arrow tool. And I'm gonna marquee these three lines that make up the smoke stack. And notice that I'm only partially marqueeing them. When you're using the black arrow tool, as long as the line falls at least somewhat inside the marquee, it becomes entirely selected. Now, I'll go ahead and drag any one of these segments over to the left, like so, and I'll press the shift key in order to constrain the angle of my drag to exactly horizontal. And at some point, I should see the word intersect right there with a horizontal line. And what that's showing me is that I am aligning the center of my selection, that's that tiny little green x, with that…
