- In this chapter, we'll meet the Pen Tool. And all we'll be doing from one movie to the next is clicking. So, nothing fancy. But as you're about to see, there are lots and lots of different ways to click with the pen. Now, I'm gonna start things off with a little bit of an introduction here. As you know, the pen is Adobe's universal drawing tool available across it's flagship graphics and design programs. And it adheres to the rigorous structure first established by the PostScript printing language. Now, if you're not familiar with PostScript, it was first unleashed on the world in 1985 and it standardized how path outlines work. Which immediately resulted in the device-independent fonts that we now enjoy that we can print and use any way we like. But it was also essential for creating reliable designs in which path outlines precisely align with each other, so there are no unwanted gaps or overlaps. And Illustrator's pen was really the first tool to exploit the power of PostScript…
