Hi, and welcome to Custom Brushes for Illustrator. My name is Emily Kay, and I'm really excited to share my knowledge on Illustrator brushes with you. In this course, I'll be showing you how to use, create, modify, and master Illustrator brushes. Being able to create your own custom Illustrator brushes will open up a lot of opportunities for you to be able to create really useful art that you can then use to streamline your workflow process, and you can enhance what you're already doing.
I'll share with you some of my favorite tips in regards to making brushes really work for you and make sure that you're comfortable with the ins and outs of using and building brushes, so you can create all sorts of great art and projects. First, we'll look at what brushes are, how we can apply them, and some of the modifications that are available with the Paintbrush in conjunction with the various brush types. I've created a ton of compelling examples that will show you not only the standard techniques for using brushes but also ways that you can utilize brushes to add depth, texture, effects, and more.
