- [Voiceover] Hello, my name is Justin Seeley, and I'm a senior staff author for the design segment. I'd like to welcome you to Illustrator CC for Web Design: SVG. This is the final module of my Illustrator for Web Design series, so if you haven't already done so, go back and check out the other modules after you've gone through this one, so you can get up to speed. SVG really isn't something new, but it is gaining momentum within the web design community these days because of responsive design. In this course, I'll start off by giving you a crash course in SVG, including what it is, where you might want to use it, and we'll also discuss modern browser compatibility.
From there, we'll jump into Illustrator CC, where I'll show you how to prepare your artwork for SVG output. I'll also show you how to use the SVG export options inside of Illustrator. Then I'll go through a series of exercises with you, where I'll show you the best ways to create SVG graphics based on the type of images that you're working with. Finally, we'll briefly explore how to implement SVGs on your own website, and I'll give you some valuable resources for you to check out, so that you can get the most out of SVGs in your next web design project. I'm excited to start this course with you, so without further delay, let's just jump right in and start working, and create ourselves some SVGs.
