How to use brushes in Illustrator

- [Instructor] The Illustrator brush tool offers a ton of flexibility and enables you to create some amazing artwork. Before we dive into creating our own custom brushes, it's a good idea to review the brush tool itself and talk about how we use the default custom brushes. If you double click on your Paintbrush Tool, you'll open up the Paintbrush Tool option dialog box. The first setting that you come to is the fidelity slider. This controls the distance that you have to move your pen or paint brush before it adds a new anchor point to the path. The amount of points that are added to your path are going to be controlled by this slider right here. If you keep it more towards the accurate area it's going to yield a line with more points while the smooth setting is going to deliver a line with less. Let me show you the difference.
