How to effectively rotate objects in Illustrator

Hi there, welcome back to Creative Quick Tips. My name is Justin Seeley and this week, we're going to be taking a look at how to use the Rotate tool inside of Adobe Illustrator in a really interesting way. First things first. We need to create a new document. So, let's go to the File menu and choose New. And we'll create a 1024 by 768 document, that's okay. And so, basically what we're talking about here is how to rotate objects around a circle. And when I first started using Illustrator, this was one of the most confusing things in the world to me, because I just could not for the life of me figure out how to do it.

So, this is what I would do, I would create a circle, and then I would take something like maybe a rectangle and I would draw it out. So, let's say I was doing like a Clock icon or something. Let's just make this a different color so you could actually see it. And take the stroke off, there we go. So, I'd put something like this, up at the top, and then, of c...
