How the brush responds to variations

In the last movie we looked at variations. In this movie, we are going to look at how we can further use the variations in conjunction with a tablet. So in this movie, I am going to be using a pressure sensitive tablet and a stylus. Normally, when you use the paintbrush tool and you press your pen to the document and draw a stroke, the results are going to look like they're not pressure sensitive. And that's because there isn't any variation in your brush strokes meaning that the stroke is going to maintain the same width in the beginning until the end. If you use a tablet's pressure sensitive pen, then you can vary the width of the stroke based on how hard you physically put your pen to the tablet. Let's see how we can do that. I'm going to open up my brush panel and we'll create a new brush to do this. I'm going to create a calligraphic brush. And we'll just modify some of the settings so that we have a…
