Grid preferences and settings

- [Instructor] Turning on the grid will cover your artboard and your pasteboard with grid lines like graph paper. Come to the View menu, choose Show Grid, or keyboard shortcut cmd or ctrl + '. Now there are several options that we can use to control the appearance of the grid. Let's come to Preferences and Guides & Grid. Just as you can change the Color of the Guides, as I did in an earlier movie, you can also change the Color of the Grid, and you can change the Style of the Grid. I'm going to leave both as they are for now. You can change the increment of the grid. Note that the grid fields are always going to be square. You can't, as you can for an InDesign document grid, specify a different increment for the horizontal and the vertical. I'll leave the Gridline every at 1 inch, but change the Subdivisions to 1. Personally I like to see the grids over my artwork, so I'm going to uncheck Grids in Back. And Show Pixel Grid Above 600%, that's the view size at which the Pixel Grid will…
