Gradients on strokes
- Here we are in a file with a super meaty 200 point stroke here ready to play with and do some gradients on a stroke. Now, just as a small factoid, these were introduced into Illustrator in 2012. And the reason I remember that is because I was sat in a TV studio, looking out at Tower Bridge, drawing Tower Bridge to show off gradient strokes. But there you go small factoids self-indulgent and I apologize unreservedly. So let's get on with the business of actually adding a gradient to this stroke. Now, my fill is in back, so my stroke is in front, if not just tap X to switch those over. And then you can hit the period key on your keyboard to create your gradients on the stroke. Now let's make it slightly less dull and black to white. So what we're going to do is go to this first stop here, double click on that and choose a red color, like so, go to the other end and double click on that and choose a magenta color…
