Global swatches
- [Instructor] You may have heard of global swatches in Illustrator, and that's what we're going to look at now. We're going to create one and investigate perhaps why they are worthy of your attention. Now I've locked pretty much everything in this file so you can quite happily get your selection tool and just drag across in the way that I am. What you're capturing are all of the currently gray shapes in this design. We're going to mix a new color for these and then we're going to turn it into a global swatch. So let's go to the color panel, and if it's not fully expanded, you can click the small chips on the side of the tab just there to expand it outwards. Now what I'd like to do here is I'll mix this in the HSB model and I'm going to dial a hue up to, in the HSB model and I'm going to dial a hue up to, I don't know, somewhere in the region of 60 is fair enough.
