Giving type personality
- [Instructor] One of my favorite tools in the desktop version of Illustrator is the touch type tool. This allows us to work on individual characters and rotate and scale them independently. We don't have that on Illustrator for iPad, but we can achieve the same look. I'm going to start by creating a rectangle over my art board, and I'll fill that rectangle with a solid color, in this case black, I'll make sure its stroke is set to none. I'll then lock it. Now I'm going to use my type tool. I'll just tap on the art board. I'll come and change the color, double-tap to select the text. I'll turn on my caps lock and now I'm going to type on four separate lines my word, onomatopoeia, I need to be careful to spell it correctly. I'll center it, I'll scale it from its center point, so using my touch modifier move to the outer portion of the circle. Let's adjust the letting and now I want to change the typeface. I'm…
