Generating output files
- Once you get notes back from the writer or editor, you'll need to create final output files, which can be merged with the final art files to create the printed comic. There's two generally accepted file types, Illustrator and EPS, and in this section I'll take you through creating both of them. All right, so we've overprinted our blacks, we've got all our corrections back from the editor, everything's perfect, we're ready to send this file to the printer for output. First thing we're going to do is grab a couple of layers we no longer need. Those are the job box, the guides, and the artwork, and I select those by just clicking on a layer and then shift-click, shift-click. We're going to select those three and delete them. Should they be deleted? Yes they should. So now we're left with just our lettering objects. One more time, I'm going to go to Object, Unlock All, just double-check everything is unlocked, it's greyed out, can't tell you how many times I've left something locked and…
