Filling and stroking a path outline

- [Instructor] In this movie I'll show you how you can fill and stroke a path outline to turn it into a vector-based shape layer. So let's say that we want to replace this circle layer right there. I'll go ahead and turn it off, which is going to make the ball transparent, and then I'll click on the beach layer to make it active. Alright now if you're working along with me you want to make sure that your seeing that path outline that we drew in the previous movie. If you can't see it, then switch back to the Paths panel, which by default lives in the same group as the Layers panel, and then go ahead and click on that ball outline item right there. So notice if I click off of it, I not only deselect the path, but I hide it as well. And then if I click on the path, I can once again see it here inside the image window. Alright now, the way that you turn a path outline into a shape layer is a little bit unusual. You want to go ahead and switch back over to the Layers panel. And then go up…
