Extending a dormant path outline

- In this movie, I'll show you how to extend a Dormant Path Outline, by which I mean we're going to take an open path, like this one here, that's no longer active, and we're going to add anchor points and segments to it. So for starters, notice that we have the Create cursor, complete with its sparkle. And any time you see the Create cursor, that means no path inside the document is active, whether you have selected paths like this one or not. The good news is that you can wake that path up, even if it's not selected, as in this case. And here's how that works. The first thing you want to do is move your Create cursor over an end point. And the moment you do, you'll see a diagonal line right next to your cursor, which I've highlighted in orange. Now there is a caveat, specificlaly inside Photoshop, where the path must be highlighted in the Paths panel, a I'll show you what's going on there in just a moment.
