Extending an active path outline
- In this movie I'll show you how to add anchor points to an active path outline, as well as close that path so that each and every anchor point connects to two of its neighbors. So as you can see here the cursor has no sparkle, therefore it's Active, which means that we have an active path outline. And you're always going to know which path outline is active because you'll see its anchor points represented as either solid squares if they're selected, or hollow squares if they're not selected. What you want to do with this active cursor is click anywhere inside the document. And once again, I'm working inside of Illustrator. At which point you will add another corner point. And then you can click again to add another one, and click again to add another one, and click again to add yet another one, and so forth. And throughout this experience each and every corner point connects to its predecessor with a straight segment. So in other words this most recent point is connecting to the one…
