Exploring type on a path
- [Instructor] Here's another idea for something that you can do with type on a path. Your path doesn't need to be a circle or a square, it can be literally anything that is a vector path, including a piece of type. So I have here my S, I'm going to outline this. Now, if I take a look on my Layers panel, this is currently a group. And even though it is just a single shape, it thinks it's a group. So we need to ungroup it. I'll come and select it. And then on my Object panel, I can choose Ungroup. Now, you'll see on the Layers panel, it thinks it's a compound path. So I need to release the compound path. Do whatever you need to do in order to end up with your letter as a path. Now that it's a path, I can select my type, I can move to my touch ring and to its outer circle and then drag that onto the path.
