Adobe Illustrator can manage all of the essential type characteristics and in this tutorial with Tony Harmer you will learn more about the options in the Character and Paragraph Panels
- [Instructor] We're going to examine now…the character and paragraph panels,…at least from an overview point of view,…to work out how we can change things…in Illustrator with type.…In order for those to appear in the control strip…we need to have some type selected.…Although you can also use the window menu…and you can come down to the type options here…and choose those panels so they are persistent.…I actually do that with the character panel just for now…so you can see how it looks…and I'll make sure its options are visible…as covered in the earlier movies on panels.…
Okay, and you can see here…some pretty straightforward options…that we're just going to have a look at.…I'm going to double-click here where this says Myriad.…This is actually a piece of text set in Myriad Pro…and you can see in the control strip,…Myriad Pro regular 86.81 points.…I think I probably just scaled that manually…to arrive at that.…It's not the usual sort of typing for me.…And in the character panel we can see that also.…So here's the size.…
