Exploring colors with the Color Guide panel

- [Instructor] If you're looking for color inspiration, the color guide panel is a great place to start. I have a color guide panel here nested with the swatches so I'll click on it to bring it forward. The color guide offers color variations, or color harmonies based off of a base color. Right now, the base color is set to white so we're really not getting a lot of color options here. I can click on the color ramp to see how those options are going to change depending on the color that I select. The color harmony is shown across the top here, there are 23 harmony rules built into Illustrator and we can get to those with this drop-down and we can see all 23 of these. Right now, I'm on the analogous color harmony, so the colors that we're seeing are all pretty similar. If I switch to, say, the left compliment, we'll get a completely different set of colors.
