Join Nigel French for an in-depth discussion in this video Exercise files and font usage, part of Designing a Typographic Bauhaus Book Cover.
- Premium subscribers to Lynda.com have access to the files used throughout this course. These are in the Exercise Files folder. In this case, all the files are in a single folder. If you're a monthly subscriber, you won't have access to these files, but you will be able to follow along with files of your own. A word about font usage. The letters in this project are built from geometric shapes, no fonts needed. For the supporting text, I'm using Futura PT. This is available on Typekit, which is part of the Creative Cloud.
If you have a Creative Cloud subscription, you have access to Typekit. If you open a document containing Typekit fonts that you don't currently have active, you'll see a warning dialogue, asking you to sync these. If you don't have access to Typekit, you can substitute a neutral sans serif typeface, like Myriad Pro, Helvetica, or Arial.
