- You may have noticed…that as you've been using the Pen Tool in this chapter,…that your Pen Tool acts a little differently than mine.…Mainly, your Pen Tool is probably giving you a preview…of what your curves look like…before you actually complete them.…That's called a Rubber Band in preview…and in most cases, I have that turned off by default…but you can go in there and turn it on and off yourself…by going to Illustrator,…Preferences,…and then going into Selection & Anchor Display.…Inside the Selection & Anchor Display dialogue box,…you can come down here and enable the Rubber Band…for both the Pen Tool and the Curvature Tool.…
By default, both of these are turned on.…Some people who are more comfortable using the Pen Tool…like to turn off the Rubber Band preview.…I'll click it on for now and I'll leave it on…for the duration of this chapter…just so you see exactly what I'm talking about.…I'll hit OK…and then let's go ahead and create a brand new document.…Flie, New.…Hit OK…and let's turn that grid back on by going to View,…
