- [Instructor] Drawing is a lifelong skill. You start at some point and keep at it, and over time, you improve. There are no shortcuts and it's not about realism, either. Most design styles related to creating a brand character are anything but realistic. Most are often stylized, a deduced, simplified form derived from realism. So the process of drawing will help you define what to create before you move forward and attempt to create it. You saw that in the previous movie. In this movie, I want to show you how we worked out the direction to take this brand character design by using progressive drawing methods that helped us get there. So let's jump into this. It all started with thumbnail sketches. So, here's some of the thumbnail sketches we created for this project, keeping mind that Viking character, a Saxon.
