- [Narrator] Now it's time to start drawing, our very first icon. So I have a brand new document set up here and the soon to be a print icon. So my document is set to seem YK and I'm not really using a grid setting for this specific project. I also de-select it, the scale strokes and effects option by just deselecting this option from the right-hand side of the screen, I will talk more about the why and how in a different video in the same chapter. Now it's important that we're only going to be using basic shapes and basic drawing techniques in order to accomplish this specific icon. And the icon is going to be a simple soda cup. So on the left hand side, I have my tools here, including the ellipse tool. I'll start out by just clicking the ellipse and I'll just drag out a basic ellipse, something like this here, there we go.
