Join Robin Schneider for an in-depth discussion in this video Denim jacket: Front bodice, part of Illustrator for Fashion Design: Advanced Drawing Flats.
- [Instructor] In this movie we're going to continue on…with the denim jacket and draw the bodice.…But as I look at the collar we did in the last movie,…I'm seeing something I don't like.…I don't like the way the stitches on this side…are not matching the stitches on this side.…To fix that I'm going to select them.…Which I need to unlock the layer to do…so let's select them.…And I'm going to click on the graphic style again…just to make sure that this is set.…Wow that's weird.…All right let's make sure…that the brush is correct.…
I'm going to double-click on the brush…and now I see the problem.…When we made this brush we didn't account…for the inside corner.…We need to drop down and select auto centered…and click OK.…Apply to strokes.…And see how nicely that just cleaned up the corner?…So that fixes that.…All right let's go back to layers,…lock the collar…and work on the bodice.…Zoom out.…To do the bodice we're going to do this a lot like the blazer.…Going to start with the pen tool.…Reset my default.…Click on the break point.…
