Join Justin Seeley for an in-depth discussion in this video Defining your master page elements, part of Illustrator: Symbols.
Once you have your multi page layout already…to go, it's time to start determining which…elements are going to repeat across all of…the different screens or pages that you've created.…So in this case, I'm working with this…run with me application that we're creating here.…And what I want to do is figure out which…elements are going to repeat across all these different screens.…Well I know for one, it's going to be this top element right here.…The run with me header because this is where they're going to access…some sort of menu that's either going to fly out or slide out.…And it's also got the heading which tells…me which app I'm running at any given time.…So what I want to do is repeat this across all these different screens.…
Now, what I could do, is I could select…it, copy it, and then I could select the Artboard.…And then I could go Edit > Paste in Place and it would just paste it in there.…I could do that for all of these artboards.…Edit > Paste in Place and that's an easy…way to deploy this across all of these different screens.…
