- [Instructor] In this chapter, we'll turn our attention to InDesign, and for starters, we'll take a look at creating custom symbols and page ornaments. And by way of example, I have this clover leaf character right here, which represents the Command key on a Macintosh keyboard. Now, the thing about this character is that it's not commonly available in your everyday, average font, and to show you what I mean, we're going to take a look at a screenshot that I made on the Mac, here inside Photoshop. And, incidentally, if you're a PC user and you decide to open this image along with me, you're going to get a font warning. It's nothing to worry about, however, and that's because Photoshop always saves the pixel-based version of each and every character of type, whether you have access to the font or not. So here we are looking at InDesign's Glyphs panel, and you can get to it by going to the Type menu and choosing the Glyphs command, and notice we're looking at the Command key character…
