- [Instructor] Now while it's quite likely that most of us wanting to create vector fonts would do so in Illustrator, it is also possible to do them in Photoshop. So we're going to take a very quick look at that in this movie, so you can see what is required. And what I've got here is a file that's meant to represent a scan of some sketched characters and I want to turn these into vectors. So the answer is to create individual Shape layers for each character. I'm going to show you how to do that. So I'm going to go ahead and pick up the Pen Tool. I think I'll use the regular Pen Tool just here, rather than the Curvature Pen Tool, because I'm going to use straight lines for this. And then I need to make sure in the control strip that this is set to Shape to generate a Shape layer. And also that here in the shape options that New Layer is selected.
