…In this movie I'll show you how to create type on a path.…Which allows you to create curving or waving lines of text.…I'm going to go ahead and scroll down to the lower left corner of…this art work and I'm going to zoom in by Ctrl+spacebar or Cmd+spacebar clicking.…And notice that I have an open path outline at this location.…Meaning that it begins at one point and ends…at another and these beginning and ending points…are known as end points inside of Illustrator.…
And so when you have an open path outline, you can switch to the Type…tool and you can click along it in order to create type on a path.…So notice, when my cursor is close to this open path…outline, I see a little dotted line running through the I-beam cursor.…If I move my cursor…over a closed path outline, then I see this area type…cursor, which means I'm going to create the text inside that closed path.…But I want to work with the open path, so I'll go ahead and click on it, like so.…
And, then I'll enter the text, surf's up, for example.…Now, we can see that I've got some overflow text…
