Creating type along a path outline

- [Instructor] In this movie, we'll take a look at creating text along a path outline. And while this is also something you can do inside Illustrator and Photoshop, and it works pretty much the same way, this qualifies as a core skill when laying out pages inside InDesign. So let's say I want to create some text along this waving path right here. The first thing I'd have to do is draw the path, which of course I could do, using the pen tool. And so, I'll go ahead and grab the pen, or press the P key. And then I'll drag to create a first smooth point. Then I'll move my cursor, so I'm seeing a white arrowhead next to it, notice that. That tells me that I'm snapping into alignment with the first anchor point, at which time I would go ahead and drag to create a second smooth point. Then I'll move my cursor so I see that white arrowhead again, and I would drag to create a third smooth point. And so, pretty straightforward.
