Creating simple grainy shading

- [Von] Welcome to Drawing Vector Graphics Laboratory. In this movie, I'm gonna show you an easy way to create effective grainy shading brushes in Illustrator. This is a fun one, so let's dive into it. Now, somebody had asked me a question when they saw some artwork and I had some grainy shading in it, and they said, "Hey, how did you do that?" Well, that was pretty complex in terms of just easily explaining it right there on the fly, so I decided to do a movie to show you a very simplistic way of doing this. You don't have to touch Photoshop. You don't have to use any special filters or anything like this. All it takes is a Sharpie, as shown here. And you can see these two things that I drew out with this Sharpie. This is exactly what I created with the Sharpie. And I had to do it a couple times to get it looking the way I wanted it to, but all it takes is a piece of paper, a Sharpie marker, and then you just start dabbing it on the paper to create the little dots, and then you're…
