Creating the quill in vectors
- So the next area of this design we want to focus on is the quill and the ponytail. The quill is where the feathers start to come in to the headdress here, we'll do the little detail on top here, this little shard shape, and then we're going to handle his ponytail, and then once we have that done, we can move into the rest of the design. So it's good to always zoom in. So we're going to build these quill shapes, and once we figure one out, it's going to make figuring all of them out, because they're kind of replicated. Now, I guess if you wanted to, you could create one and just rotate it and move, but any time I'm doing vector, now this is just my personal conviction, that's going to come out here, any time I'm doing vector illustration or design and the example I always use is, if you're asked to illustrate a forest, don't illustrate one tree and copy it 200 times.
