Vector Graphics Laboratory. I received a question regarding best practices for pattern design in Adobe Illustrator, so in this movie I'll cover the very basics regarding the creation of what is called a repeat pattern. But I'll warn you, patterns are addictively fun. Once you create one, you'll want to do more. So now that you've been fairly warned I'll just simply select all these shapes, I'll unite them to create one cohesive shape, and now with my tonal family set as this green color pallet I'll color this this base green. And now I'm going to do all the detailing, or you can call it the highlighting and the shadows using a vector brush, specifically my organic shader brush.
