- So I've added in all the various brushes that I have,…and I've started working on my pencil tips.…The next thing I want to take a look at…is how to switch up my graphite pencil tip…to a different kind of brush called a Pattern Brush.…Now, I have my three extra pencil tips here,…and I'll eventually convert these using Image Trace…back over into a regular brushstroke for Art Brush.…But, if I try and take these and make them…into a Pattern Brush right now, the length is too long.…A Pattern Brush requires us to have segments,…so what I've done is, in my exercise files,…I've actually gone through…and cropped one of my pencil files to just a segment.…
And I've got this placed in here as a .psd file,…so I'm going to go through and I'm going to Image Trace this…and just like before,…I'm going to use the high color settings…and expand to clean that up.…Next, I'm going to take my Direct Select tool…and just eliminate the white background.…I don't want to use my Magic Wand tool on this…like I did with previous brushes…
